Installation Notes

Backfill around the drain valve with 30–50 mm pebbles (washed gravel) to keep soil from blocking the drain outlet and affecting proper drainage.

Do not fully encase the exposed portion of the hydrant in concrete. Where concrete casting is required, leave a minimum 1 m × 1 m maintenance access space around the hydrant.

The inlet strainer ships as a separate accessory - it can be overlooked or displaced during installation. Fit it correctly, or debris can enter the hydrant and damage the valve disc's rubber seal, causing leaks.
