Body Structure

Adopting integral ductile iron casting technology, the valve body has a smooth internal flow channel with low hydraulic resistance, ensuring minimal flow loss during fire water supply. The disc features a rubber-lined structure (NBR material), forming a linear seal with the valve seat. It offers excellent sealing performance, and the rubber elasticity can compensate for machining errors of the valve body, ensuring no leakage risk during long-term use.

 

 

1 Installation Process

Flange Connection: Ensure the valve body and pipeline flange have matching bolt holes and sealing surfaces. Use GB/T 9126-2008 standard flange gaskets (NBR material). Tighten the bolts in a diagonal sequence in three passes, with the final torque referring to the bolt specifications in the table (e.g., DN100 uses 8-18 bolts, torque ≤80N·m).

Flow Direction Confirmation: The "water flow direction" mark on the valve body should be consistent with the actual water flow direction. The gate valve can only be installed in one direction.

Commissioning Operation: After installation, manually open and close the valve three times to check if the disc operates smoothly without jamming or abnormal noise. Apply 1.5 times the nominal pressure (2.4MPa) water pressure and hold for 30 minutes to confirm no leakage from the valve body or seals.

2 Maintenance Points

Daily Inspection: Check the stem lubrication monthly and apply silicone-based grease. Inspect the valve body for rust and leakage, and check if the rubber seals are aged.

Regular Maintenance: Disassemble the stem gland quarterly, clean impurities in the stuffing box, and replace aged packing (using flexible graphite + NBR composite packing). Conduct non-destructive testing on the disc sealing surface annually to ensure sealing performance.

Troubleshooting: If the stem seizes, inject a small amount of lubricating oil and turn the handwheel slowly. If there is sealing leakage, first check if the rubber disc is worn, and replace the disc assembly if necessary.
