A Sudden Fire Broke Out At A Chemical Factory

According to official reports, at around 9:25 a.m. local time, a fire broke out in the cracking workshop of the Qilu Petrochemical Olefins Plant. So far, no casualties have been reported, and the fire has been preliminarily brought under control. However, as of 5 p.m., the fire was still being fought and extinguished.

   This fire has attracted widespread attention. A video posted online shows a fireball rising from the factory's production unit, and the fire was so intense that it shattered windows and doors of nearby homes, according to local residents.

  To fight against the flames, firefighters deployed foam tanks which played a tremendous role in controlling the blaze. These foam tanks, also known as foam fire extinguishers, are special devices that mix foam concentrate and water, creating foam that suffocates the flames. The foam is then sprayed onto the fire using high-pressure hoses, quickly suppressing the fire and preventing it from reigniting.
