Key features

 

Stainless steel 304/316 body

The enclosure is constructed exclusively from austenitic 304 or 316 stainless steel, delivering exceptional resilience against chloride attack, corrosive chemical exposure, and harsh maritime environments. For installations in offshore platforms or high-salinity coastal zones, grade 316 is the preferred specification. The robust, thick-walled design ensures structural integrity under the demanding mechanical stresses generated by high-velocity pressurized streams and prolonged external deployment.

Explosion-proof certified

All electrical elements-including the motor actuator, limit switches, position feedback sensors, and terminal enclosures-carry explosion-proof certification, enabling direct installation of the XFS Series in Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous locations. The scope of certification extends to Group IIA/IIB flammable atmospheres encountered across petrochemical processing, LNG facilities, paint production, and comparable industrial environments.

Triple-redundant control

Three autonomous control channels keep the monitor functional through any single-point failure. Wireless transmitter enables remote, real-time suppression command from a safe distance. Hardwired interface ties directly into building automation or fire alarm networks. Manual handwheels offer a purely mechanical override requiring no electrical power.

340° horizontal / −45° to +85° vertical

Comprehensive hemispherical protection is achieved from a single fixed base using a 340 degree horizontal sweep and a vertical limit of minus 45 to plus 85 degrees. The excellent upward vertical mobility permits direct alignment with high altitude structures like distillation columns, storage tanks, and process towers while maintaining a standard low level mounting position.

DC 24V motor actuator

Safety and precision are built directly into the system. An internal transformer steps AC 220V power down to a safer DC 24V for the motor actuator, reducing ignition hazards and simplifying cable management in volatile zones while safeguarding field personnel. Once powered, the actuator provides seamless, zero-lash positioning, maintaining flawless accuracy from start to finish of its stroke.

Aluminum alloy handwheels

Fabricated from lightweight, rust-resistant aluminum, these handwheels are ergonomically optimized for secure operation with firefighting gloves. They provide a direct mechanical connection to the drive train, facilitating exact manual positioning for setup, diagnostics, or emergency power-loss overrides without requiring tools, pneumatic pressure, or electrical power.
