Operational Guide
Pre-Operation Checks (Critical for Self-Priming)
Confirm the suction hose is fully submerged in a sealed foam barrel (3%/6% concentrate; no expired product).
Check the hose for leaks/cracks (leaks break negative pressure, preventing self-priming).
Verify the fire water supply can maintain 0.8–1.0MPa pressure.
Operation (Foam Mode – Class B Fires)
Secure the PLZ unit to its base (or mobile skid) to resist recoil.
Connect the suction hose to the gun's self-priming port; tighten the quick-release clamp.
Open the water valve slowly; monitor the gauge until pressure stabilizes at 0.8MPa.
Use the T-handle to switch to "Foam" mode-you will hear a slight suction sound (confirm foam is mixing via the nozzle).
Aim the nozzle at the fire root/liquid surface (not flame tops); adjust rotation/pitch with the T-handle.
Open the flow valve gradually to reach the required flow rate (e.g., 24L/s for small spills).
Operation (Water Mode – Class A Fires)
Disconnect the suction hose (or keep it connected; switching to "Water" bypasses the self-priming system).
Use the T-handle to select "Water" mode.
Aim at the fire root; use sweeping motions to cool adjacent materials.
Post-Operation
Close the water valve; switch to "Water" mode and flush the system for 1 minute (removes residual foam to prevent clogging).
Disconnect the suction hose; clean the filter tip with water.
Drain residual liquid from the gun body to avoid freezing (if <0°C).
