A fire diversion valve is a device used for splitting the water supply in a fire protection main line. Unlike ordinary civilian diversion valves, it has three major professional features:
- **High-pressure tolerance**: The working pressure can reach 1.6-4.0 MPa, capable of withstanding the instantaneous high-pressure impact from fire engine pumps or fire water pumps, meeting the requirements for large-scale fire suppression;
- **Quick interface design**: It adopts internal coupling or snap-on quick interfaces, allowing firefighters to complete the water hose connection within 5 seconds, avoiding delays in the battle;
- **Independent flow control function**: Both outlet ports are equipped with valves, which can be individually adjusted for flow or closed to the branch, adapting to the water supply needs of different fire points.
II. Structural Analysis: Precisely Diverting Water Like a "Three-way Valve"
The structural design of the two-way water divider is entirely tailored to meet practical needs. Its core components include:
- **Main Inlet Interface**: Usually in DN100 or DN150 specifications, connecting to the main water supply trunk line of fire trucks or fire pumps;
- **Dual Outlet Interfaces**: Generally in DN65 specifications, compatible with standard fire hoses. The brass interfaces have anti-corrosion and wear-resistant properties;
- **Control Valve Group**: A stopcock valve or ball valve is equipped at each outlet, allowing for quick disconnection of a single water flow and preventing the failure of one branch from affecting the overall water supply;
- **Sealing Protection System**: Rubber sealing rings are used at the interface, and the body surface is sprayed with high-temperature-resistant anti-corrosion paint, ensuring sealing performance even in high-temperature and humid fire scenes.
