Fire Deluge Valve
Flanged / Grooved Type
DELUGE VALVE - FLANGED & GROOVED CONNECTION
The core control valve installed on the main supply pipe of a deluge sprinkler system. Upon receiving a signal from the fire alarm or detection control panel, it opens rapidly and delivers water simultaneously to every open sprinkler head on the system - enabling fast, delay-free, full-area discharge for occupancies where fire can spread quickly and hazard levels are high.
Nominal DiameterDN50–DN350
Working Pressure1.6 MPa
Seal Test Pressure3.2 MPa
Flange StandardGB/T 1724.6
OVERVIEW
A pilot-operated, diaphragm-type deluge valve engineered for reliable actuation - the key device behind "one alarm, full-area discharge" in deluge and water-curtain systems.

The deluge valve is the main control valve of a deluge alarm valve assembly. Under standby conditions it stays closed by relying on the pressure differential between the upper and lower diaphragm chambers, isolating the system-side piping from the water supply. When a heat or smoke detector - or a pneumatic/hydraulic pilot line - in the protected area activates, the control chamber depressurizes rapidly, the clapper opens under supply pressure, and water flows through the open (non heat-sensitive) sprinkler heads to discharge over the entire protected area simultaneously. This delivers fast, wide-coverage fire suppression or control, making it ideal for occupancies where fire can spread quickly and instant full-area coverage is required.
The valve body is precision-cast from ductile iron with an electrostatically-sprayed epoxy coating on internal surfaces for corrosion resistance. Sealing components use EPDM rubber for long-term resistance to aging and hydraulic fatigue. Combined with pressure gauges, a water motor alarm, a retard chamber, and test valves, it forms a complete deluge alarm valve assembly ready for field commissioning, inspection, and fire-code acceptance testing.
Dual connection types:available in both flanged (GB/T 1724.6) and grooved connections to match different installation methods and site constraints.
Wide size range:DN50 through DN350, plus dedicated DN(G)100 / 150 / 200 grooved sizes, covering everything from localized zones to high-flow systems.
Pilot-operated control:clapper opening/closing is governed by pressure changes in the pilot line, giving sensitive response and a low false-activation rate.
PRINCIPLE
From standby to discharge, four stages track the changing pressure state inside the valve.
Standby
请替换当前内容 Based on years of experience in the industry,we can provide customers with complete power distribution solutions to achieve safe, reliable, economic and rational operation of power distribution systems for the petrochemical industry.
01
Detection & Trip
A detector, pilot line, or manual emergency release activates, triggering a solenoid or mechanical release device, and the control chamber begins to depressurize.
02
Clapper Opens
Once control-chamber pressure drops below supply pressure, the diaphragm loses balance and the clapper snaps open under water pressure, admitting flow into the system piping.
03
Full Discharge
The water motor alarm sounds, and every open sprinkler head on the system discharges simultaneously, blanketing the entire protected area.
04
Size & dimension table
Engineered for high-hazard occupancies, balancing reliability, ease of maintenance, and project fit.
Sensitive Trip, Low False-Alarm Rate
The diaphragm design responds quickly to pressure changes; paired with a retard chamber it filters out momentary pressure surges that could otherwise cause a false trip, keeping the system stable in standby.
Rugged, Corrosion-Resistant Body
Ductile iron body with an internal and external epoxy coating resists corrosion and weathering, suitable for prolonged exposure to humidity and salt-fog environments.
Flanged / Grooved Options
Both connection types are available within the same product line, so there's no need to change valve size to match different piping installation standards - shortening on-site installation time.
Manual & Automatic Activation
Equipped with a manual emergency release, allowing local or remote manual opening if the detection system fails, ensuring reliable suppression even in extreme scenarios.
Resettable, Easy to Maintain
Wear parts such as the clapper and diaphragm are removable and resettable; combined with test and drain valves, annual inspection and trip testing can be performed without dismantling the piping.
Full-Flow Hydraulic Performance
The internal flow path is optimized for low resistance and a high flow coefficient, ensuring wide-area coverage while minimizing supply pressure loss.

Note: h / H / A / B / M / N / D1 / n-D correspond to overall installation dimensions for the flanged type; the C column applies to the DN(G)100 / 150 / 200 grooved sizes. n-D indicates the number and diameter of bolt holes (e.g. 8-18 = 8 holes at φ18mm). Dimensions are subject to the actual product - contact our technical support team for CAD installation drawings.

Products Description
Deluge systems are typically specified for high-hazard occupancies where fire can develop quickly, spread over a large area, or require overall cooling protection.
FAQ
Q: How is a deluge valve different from a wet alarm valve?
A: A wet valve only serves the sprinklers in a single activated zone. A deluge valve opens to discharge water through every open sprinkler head on the system at once - designed for occupancies where fire spreads quickly.
Q: Flanged or grooved - which should I choose?
A: Flanged connections suit projects needing frequent disassembly for maintenance and mating with flanged fittings. Grooved connections install faster and take up less space, ideal for tight schedules or limited pipe clearance. Both types are available for DN100/150/200.
Q: How often does a deluge valve need to be inspected?
A: At least once a year, with a full trip test and hydrostatic seal test, and a check of wear parts like the diaphragm and O-rings for aging.
Q: Can it still be opened manually if the detection system fails?
A: Yes - each valve set includes a manual emergency release that can be triggered locally or remotely, ensuring the system still functions if automatic detection fails.
Q: What does a 3.2 MPa sealing test pressure mean?
A: Each valve is factory-tested at 2× its 1.6 MPa working pressure (3.2 MPa) to confirm the body and seals won't leak under overpressure, ensuring long-term reliability.
