Be Aware Of Fire Risks

On January 30th at 12:38 pm, the Sanya Fire and Rescue Brigade Command Center received a report that a new energy bus parked on an open space in Fenghuang Village, Tianya District, Sanya caught fire.

New energy vehicles, including electric and hybrid cars, are becoming increasingly popular. However, as with any vehicle, it is important to be aware of fire risks and how to prevent them. Here are some tips:

- Keep up with regular maintenance and inspections of the vehicle's electrical and charging systems.
- Do not leave charging cords or devices unattended while charging.
- Do not overload the vehicle's electrical system with too many devices or modifications.
- Properly store and dispose of any flammable or combustible materials, such as gasoline or oil.

In the event of a fire, it is important to take immediate action:

- Pull over safely and turn off the vehicle.
- Evacuate all passengers and move to a safe distance from the vehicle.
- Call the fire department and give them clear and precise information about the location and situation.
- Use a fire extinguisher if you know how to use one and can safely reach the fire. Otherwise, do not attempt to put out the fire yourself.

By following these guidelines, we can help prevent and respond to fires in new energy vehicles, ensuring the safety of ourselves and those around us.
