The foam fire extinguishing

The foam sprayed by the foam fire extinguishing agent is a group of bubbles. It is small in size, surrounded by liquid on the surface, and has a specific gravity smaller than that of light flammable liquids. It can cover the surface of the liquid and is mainly used to extinguish flammable liquid fires. Therefore, foam fire extinguishing mainly forms a condensed foam floating layer on the liquid surface, which acts as suffocation and cooling, prevents fuel vaporization and external oxygen from entering, and extinguishes the fire.

The functions of foam fire extinguishing agents are:

1. The foam covering layer formed by the fire extinguishing foam on the surface of the burning object can isolate the surface of the burning object from the air.

2. The foam layer can seal the surface of the burning material, cut off the thermal radiation of the flame to the burning material, prevent the burning material from evaporating or pyrolyzing and volatilizing, and prevent combustible gas from entering the burning area.

3. The precipitated foam liquid has a cooling effect on the combustion surface temperature.

4. The water vapor produced by the evaporation of the foam after encountering fire has the effect of diluting the oxygen concentration in the combustion zone.
